All India Engineering/ Architecture Entrance Exam (AIEEE 2012)

About AIEEE: AIEEE is a common entrance examination on all India basis (National Level Engineering Entrance Exam) for admission to professional and technical programmes in the country. CBSE will be conducting the Eleventh All India Engineering/ Architecture Entrance Examination (AIEEE) for admission to degree level courses in Engineering and Architecture in NITs, IIITs, Centrally funded Institutions, Deemed Universities and Institutions in States/UTs (Other than those covered by Joint Entrance Examination) State Level Entrance Examination.

Eligibility Criteria for AIEEE 2012:

Educational Qualifications: Candidate must have passed in final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent. Those appearing in 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent examination may also appear in AIEEE 2012 provisionally.

Candidates appearing in 10+2 (Class XII) in 2013 or passed in 2009 or before are not eligible to appear in AIEEE 2012.

Age Limit – Date of Birth: Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1987 are eligible. However in case of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Persons with Disability candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by five years meaning thereby candidates born on or after October 01, 1982 are eligible.

Mode of Payment: Demand draft which should be drawn in favour of the Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi drawn in any National Bank payable at Delhi. Write your name, address, registration no (as given on confirmation page) and course opted on the back of the demand draft.

Note: Those  applicants  who  have  applied  both  for  B.E./B.Tech  and B.Arch/ B.Planning  and  who are  appearing  in  Online  Exam  for  B.E./B.Tech  their  B.Arch/B.Planning  exam  will  be  held  through Offline Mode on 29.04.2012.

How to Apply for AIEEE 2012: Candidates should apply for AIEEE 2012 ‘Online’ only both for Offline Examination (Paper/Pen Test) as well as Online Examination (Computer Based Test). Online Application Submission for All India Engineering Entrance Examination 2012 is started.

Candidates can apply Online through the websites www.cbse.nic.in or www.aieee.nic.in. Last date for online submission: 31.12.2011.

AIEEE 2012 Exam Paper Pattern: AIEEE 2012 Entrance examination would consist of two papers i.e. AIEEE Paper – I consisting of three parts of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of equal weight age with objective type questions for B.E/B.Tech courses in offline/online  mode  and  AIEEE Paper – II consisting  of  Mathematics – Part I,  Aptitude  Test – Part II  and  Drawing Test – Part III  for  B.Architecture  and  B.Planning  in  offline  mode.  The Aptitude Test is designed to evaluate candidate’s perception, imagination, observation, creativity and architectural awareness.

Negative Marking: One Fourth (1/4) of marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

AIEEE 2012 Admit Cards: The  AIEEE 2012 Admit  Card  will  be  sent  by  “ordinary”  post  to  the  candidate  about  four  weeks  before  the conduct  of  the  examination.
