JOINT CSIR-UGC NET December 2012 Results (For JRF& LS) Declared

The evaluation process for December, 2012 JRF-NET Exam is under way. The results are declared on 20th March, 2013. The last date for submission of application for June, 2013 NET Exam shall be extended accordingly.”

It is notified that the last date for sale of Information Bulletin and Application Form through designated branches of Indian Bank and Oriental Bank of Commerce has been further extended to 25.03.2013 for forthcoming Joint CSIR-UGC test for Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Lectureship (NET) scheduled on Sunday 23^rd June, 2013.

The last date for submission of Online Application for this test has also been extended to 25.03.2013.

National Eligibility Test (NET), June 2013

CSIR has been conducting Joint CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test for Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Lectureship in five subjects of science twice a year in the month of June and December.

CSIR released the notification for National Eligibility Test (NET), June 2013. CSIR will hold the Joint CSIR-UGC Test on 23^rd June, 2013 for determining the eligibility of the Indian National candidates for the award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) NET and for determining eligibility for appointment of Lecturers (NET) in certain subject areas falling under the faculty of Science & Technology.

The Test will be held in the subjects as given under:

CSIR UGC NET Dec 2013 Exam Pattern for Single Paper

CSIR UGC NET Dec 2013 consists of Single Paper Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) based test. The pattern for the Single Paper MCQ test shall be as given below:

The MCQ test Paper of each subject shall carry a maximum of 200 marks. The exam shall be for the duration of three hours. The question paper comprises of three Parts.

Part ‘A’ shall be common to all subjects. This part shall be a test containing a maximum of 20 questions from General Aptitude (Logical reasoning, graphical analysis, analytical and numerical ability, quantitative comparisons, series formation, puzzles, etc). The candidates shall be required to answer any 15 questions of two marks each. The total marks allocated to this section shall be 30 out of 200

Part ‘B’: This part shall contain 50 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) generally covering the Subject – Related topics given in the syllabus. A candidate shall be required to answer any 35 questions. Each question shall be of two marks. The total marks allocated to this section shall be 70 out of 200.

Part ‘C’: This part shall contain 75 questions that are designed to test a candidate’s knowledge of scientific concepts and/or application of the scientific concepts. The questions shall be of analytical nature where a candidate is expected to apply the scientific knowledge to arrive at the solution to the given scientific problem. A candidate shall be required to answer any 25 questions. Each question shall be of four marks. The total marks allocated to this section shall be 100 out of 200.

Negative Marking in CSIR Dec 2013: There will be negative marking @25% for each wrong answer.
