Civil Services Prelims Exam Pattern & Syllabus

The Preliminary Examination will consist of two papers of Objective type (multiple choice questions) and carry a maximum of 400 marks.

Civil Services Prelims Paper I – General Studies

Civil Services Preliminary Exam – Paper 1 is a General Studies paper, which is of 200 Marks. General Studies Paper consist of 100 multiple choice questions- each question carry 2 marks. Total Duration is 2hrs.

Civil Services Prelims Paper 2 – Civil Service Aptitude Test (CSAT)

Civil Services Preliminary Exam – Paper 2 is aptitude Test, which is of 200 Marks. Civil Service Aptitude Test (CSAT) Question Paper consist of 80 multiple choice questions- each question carry 2.5 marks. Total Duration is 2hrs.
