Engineering Agriculture and Medicine Common Entrance Test – EAMCET 2012

EAMCET 2012 engineering exam held on 12th May 2012 at 10:00 AM to 01:00 PM. And EAMCET 2012 Agriculture and Medicine exam held on 12th May 2012 at 02:30 PM to 05:30 PM. According to the sources Total no. of students registered for EAMCET 2012 is 3,89,661. No. of students applied for EAMCET Engineering (E) 2012 is 2,94,135 and for  Agriculture and Medicine (AM) is 95,526. Total No. of Exam Centres allotted for EAMCET 2012 is 749.

EAMCET 2012 Ranking Criteria

The candidates who have secured qualifying marks in EAMCET and candidates belonging to the category of Scheduled Caste and Schedule Tribe, for whom qualifying marks have not been prescribed, shall be assigned ranking in the order of merit on the basis of combined score obtained by giving 75% weightage to the marks secured in EAMCET and 25% weightage to the marks secured in the relevant group subjects namely Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry of the qualifying examination.

For the preparation of merit list, in case of more than one student securing the same combined score obtained as mentioned above, the tie shall be resolved to decide the relative ranking by successively considering the following

i)  The total marks secured in EAMCET

ii)  The Marks secured in Mathematics/ Biology in EAMCET

iii)  The marks secured in Physics in EAMCET

iv)  The Percentage of Aggregate marks secured in the qualifying examination

v )  If the tie still persists the date of birth of the concerned candidates, the older being given preference over the younger.

EAMCET 2012 Qualifying Marks

The qualifying percentage of marks in the EAMCET 2012 Entrance Test is 25% i.e. 40 out of a total 160. However, for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, no minimum qualifying mark is prescribed. But their admission will be limited to the extent of seats reserved for such categories (vide G.O.Ms. No. 179, LEN&TE, dated 16.06.1986).

EAMCET 2012 Results| EAMCET 2012 Rank cards/ Marks List will be expected in last week of June 2012. EAMCET 2012 Rank will be calculated based on Marks obtained in Intermediate (25% Weightage) + Marks Secured in EAMCET 2012 (Weightage – 75%).

To get EAMCET 2012 Expected Rank, you need to enter your Intermediate Academic Marks & EAMCET Marks. Based on that Combined Score your EAMCET 2012 Engineering/ Medicine Rank will be calculated.
