Government of Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Internship Program 2015
Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri. Devendra Fadnavis has launched a drive to rope in graduates and post graduates for effective implementation of government’s flagship programs.
The graduates from any discipline who have secured 1st class, all aged under 25 years, will join the chief minister’s office for a period of 11 months on a monthly stipend of Rs 20,000.00 (Rupees Twenty Thousand Only). The Graduates having relevant work experience of at least 1 year with PSU, corporate or NGO of repute is eligible for this internship program. The criteria of work experience can be relaxed for students of premier institutes like IIT, IIM, Government Engineering Colleges, NIT, JBIMS, VJTI, VNIT.Once their 11-month tenure is over, they can take up assignments in the private sector or job of their choice or can pursue a Masters Degree (MS). It will be a different kind of experience for them, which will help them in their career later on.
The Internship Program is sponsored by Government of Maharashtr’s four corporations viz. CIDCO, MMRDA, MIDC & MTDC

Indian citizenship / Person of Indian Origin / Overseas Citizenship of India.
Youth below 25 years of age as of 1st April 2015.
Graduates who have secured 1st class with one year relevant experience with PSU, corporate or NGO of repute would be preferred.
The criteria of work experience can be relaxed for students of premier institutes like IIT, IIM, Government of Engineering Colleges, NIT, JBIMS, VJTI, VNIT.
Knowledge of speaking and reading Marathi will be useful for all Interns.
Demonstrated commitment to social / public service.
Strength of character, positive attitude and the ability to work in a team.
Selection Process: Selection will be a two stage process. The steps involved in selection are listed below:
Stage I: Online Written Test + write ups on given topics
It is an online test.
It will consist of multiple choice objective type questions.
Duration: Two hours for Section I and II together.
The total marks shall be out of 100. Top 50 candidates shall be called for interviews.
Details of Section I
Section I: Mental Ability and Quantitative Aptitude Test 50 Questions, each question carrying 1 mark
- The test will contain questions on three abilities or skills
- Analytical Reasoning Skills (15 marks)
- Quantitative Skills (15 marks): Arithmetic, Elementary Algebra, Commonly known concepts of Geometry
- Verbal Skills (20 marks): Reading Comprehension, Sentence Correction, and Sentence Completions
Details of Section II
Section II: Information Technology Test 50 Questions, each question carrying 1 mark
- The test will contain questions on following concepts or skills
- Windows 2010 (5 marks)
- MS Word 2010 (10 marks)
- MS Excel 2010 (10 marks)
- MS PowerPoint 2010 (10 marks)
- MS Access 2010 (5 marks)
- Internet Explorer (10 marks)
Stage II: Personal Interview (of shortlisted candidates)
