NEET UG 2013 Exam Pattern, Syllabus & Qualifying Marks

 

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET)

The Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India have notified that the Central Board of Secondary Education shall be the organization to conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to MBBS and BDS Courses.

The Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) on 5th May 2013 for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in the academic session 2013-14. Admit Cards of eligible candidates have been uploaded & available on the website www.cbseneet.nic.in.

NEET-UG 2013: 05-05-2013 (Sunday), from 10:00 am to 01:00 pm

NEET-UG 2013 in Karnataka State Only: 18-05-2013 (Saturday)

NEET UG 2013 Results: will be declared by end of 1st week of June 2013

NEET – UG 2013 Exam Pattern:

The Entrance Examination consists of one paper containing 180 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) to be answered on the specially designed machine-gradable sheet using Blue/Black Ball Point Pen only. There shall be 45 Questions each from the Subjects Physics, Chemistry, and 90 Questions from Biology (Botany and Zoology).

Minimum Qualifying Marks in NEET UG 2013: In order to be eligible for admission to MBBS/BDS courses for a particular academic year, it shall be necessary for a candidate to obtain minimum of marks at 50th percentile in ‘National Eligibility -cum-Entrance Test, held for the said academic year. However, in respect of candidates belonging to SC, ST, Other Backward Classes, the minimum marks shall be at 40th percentile. In respect of General candidates with locomotory disability of lower limbs, the minimum marks shall be at 45th percentile. The percentile shall be determined on the basis of highest marks secured in All-India common merit list in ‘National Eligibility -cum-Entrance Test for admission to MBBS/BDS courses’.
