Main Examination (Objective type-MCQs) – June/July, 2014

Practical / Skill (Stenography) Test – June/July, 2014

Viva-voce Test (Oral Interview) – August, 2014

Exam Pattern:

I. Main Examination (100 Questions -MCQs) [100 Marks & 120 Minutes]

II. Practical/Skill Test [50 Marks] {10 Minutes Duration for Typing the given passage}

III. Viva-voce Test (Oral Interview) [50 Marks]

Negative Marking: For every wrong / multiple answer, there shall be Negative Marking of 0.33 Marks.

I. Syllabus of Main Examination: i) English Language ii) Gujarati Language iii) General Knowledge iv) Arithmetic v) Current Affairs vi) Indian History and Geography vii) Basics of Computer Applications viii) Sports ix) Analytical Reasoning x) Mental Ability etc.

II. Practical / Skill Tests (Typing Test) : Typing Test of 50 marks (10 Minutes’ Test) on Computer (English or Gujarati as the case may be). A Candidate shall have to secure minimum 40% marks in the Typing Test, in order to qualify.

III. Viva-voce Test :

The object of the Viva-voce Test (Interview) is to assess the candidate’s mental alertness, General knowledge, current affairs, clear and logical exposition, skills, ethics, power of assimilation, power of communication, character and analytical ability.

A candidate must secure 40% Marks in the Viva-voce Test (Interview), for being eligible for inclusion   in   the   Select-List for   appointment as Assistant (Junior Clerk).
