Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET 2013)

KSET is an eligibility test for determining the eligibility for Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) in various universities / colleges / Institutions (Government / Aided / Private) in Karnataka State. Candidates who qualify the K-SET will be governed by the rules and regulations for recruitment of lecturers (Assistant Professors) of the concerned Institutions in Karnataka State.

KSET 2013 will be conducted by University of Mysore on 8th December 2013. KSET center will conduct the test in 32 subjects (given below) spread across the Karnataka State.

Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for applying for Lectureship

Examination Fee:  For General – Rs.1000/- & For Category IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB – Rs.800/- & For Cat-I, SC/ ST/ VH/ PH – Rs.500/-; Late fee: Rs.100/-

How to Apply: Interested candidates are required to apply online for KSET 2013 through http://kset.uni-mysore.ac.in from 10.07.2013 to 10.08.2013. No other means/ mode of application will be accepted.

Important Dates

Submission of On-line Application form: 10.07.2013 to 10.08.2013

With late fee of Rs.100/-: 12.08.2013 to 17.08.2013

Last date to download application form and other forms: 30.08.2013

Last date for receiving the printout of online Application Form (One copy), Attendance Slip (one copy) at the respective Test center Opted by the Candidate (along with fee receipt & category certificate(s)): 31.08.2013

kSET 2013 Exam Pattern: The Test will consist of three papers. The test for all the three papers will consist of only MULTIPLE-CHOICE questions. There will be no negative marking.

Session Paper Marks Number of Question Duration
First Paper I – General Paper on Teaching and Aptitude 100 60 out of which 50 ques. to be attempted 1 ¼ Hours
First Paper II – Subject Paper 100 50 questions all are compulsory 1 ¼ Hours
Second Paper III – Subject paper (in depth questions) 150 75 questions all are compulsory 2 ½ Hours
