POWERGRID, the Central Transmission Utility (CTU) of India and a Navratna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, Govt. of India is engaged in power transmission business with the mandate for planning, co-ordination, supervision and control over complete inter-State transmission system and operation of National & Regional Power Grids.

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), Northern Region Transmission System-II, having transmission system in the states of J&K, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and UT of Chandigarh requires young and dynamic professionals to be inducted in various positions:

Upper Age Limit (As on 20.03.2015): 27 years (Age Relaxation is applicable as per the Govt. rules)

Application Fee: For Junior Technician Trainee – Rs.200/- and for others –Rs.300/-

How to Apply: The completed application form along with necessary documents should be sent to “Manager (HR Rectt), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, Northern Region-II, Grid Bhawan, Near Bhahu Plaza, Rail Head Complex, Jammu (J&K) – 180012” so as to reach on or before 20.03.2015.

Selection Process: Written Test, Computer Sill Test/ Trade Test & Interview

Written Exam Pattern:

Written Test shall be of Object Type of two hours duration consisting of two parts

Part-I consists of Technical Knowledge Test with 120 questions having specific questions in your discipline.

Part-II consists of Aptitude Test with 50 questions on vocabulary, verbal comprehension, quantitative aptitude, reasoning ability, data sufficiency and interpretation, numerical ability etc.

Note: All questions carry equal marks (1). Wrong and multiple answers would result in negative marks of ¼.

Minimum Qualifying Marks/ Cut off Score: Candidates have to score minimum of 30% in each Part I and Part II separately and a minimum aggregate of 40% marks in Written Test. For reserved vacancies (i.e. ST for Jr. Technician Trainee (Electrical)) the qualifying criteria in Written Test is minimum of 25% in each Part I and Part II separately and a minimum aggregate of 30% marks.
