Those awaiting results of the final examination need NOT apply. Candidates who have obtained diploma/degree through distance mode except AMIETE & AMIE are not eligible to apply for railway engineering jobs.
Age Limit: Age relaxation is applicable for OBC, SC, and Differently abled candidates as per the Government rules.

Educational Qualification: Candidate should pass any of the following qualifications to get jobs in railway: Degree in relevant subject/ Engineering Degree in Engineering/ Diploma in required specialization.
Junior Engineer/ Jr. Research Engineer:
(a) Three years Diploma in Engineering in relevant Discipline or B.Sc in Engineering of three years duration
(b) A combination of any sub stream of basic streams of Engineering in related subject from a Recognized University/Institute.
(c) Three years Diploma in Engineering in relevant Discipline
Chief Depot Material Superintendent: Degree in Engineering in any discipline from a recognised Institution OR approved by AICTE.
Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant: Degree in Metallurgy / Chemical Engineering from Recognised Institution approved by AICTE (OR) M.Sc Degree in Chemistry / Applied Chemistry from Recognised University.
Sr. Section Engineer:
(a) Four years Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in related discipline
(b) A combination of any sub stream of Basic streams of relevant subject from a recognized University/ Institution.
Depot Material Superintendent: Diploma in Engineering in any discipline from a recognised Institution OR approved by AICTE.
RRB Recruitment Selection Process 2015
Selection Process: Selection is made strictly as per merit, on the basis of ONLINE (Computer Based) Examination. ONLINE Examination will be held on the same day by all participating RRBs between 22nd August 2015 and 5th September 2015.
RRB Bengaluru Online Exam Syllabus& Test Pattern:
Duration: – Duration of the examination will be 120 minutes.
RRB Bengaluru- JE& SSE Online Exam:
The railway exam for engineers Question papers shall be of Objective Multiple Choice Type. The questions paper will be in English, Hindi, Urdu and local languages
The questions will be of objective type with multiple choices and are likely to include questions pertaining to General awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science and Technical Ability.
Negative Marking: There shall be penalty (negative marking) in ONLINE examination and marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer @ 1/3 of the marks allotted for each question.
RRB Online Exam Syllabus for Jr. Engineer& Sr. Section Engineer:
The Question paper will have 150 questions, out of which 90 questions will be of Technical Ability & General Science and 60 questions from General awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence and Reasoning. The technical portion of 90 questions shall cover basic concepts of Science and Engineering from all the branches/disciplines of educational qualifications.
RRB Bengaluru Online Application Form
RRB Application fee: Rs.100/- for UR/OBC male candidates not coming within the purview of exempted categories. No examination fee for candidates belonging to SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen / Women/ Minorities/ Persons with Disabilities/Economically backward classes.
