RRB Common Preliminary Exam is a stage 1 Exam for the posts of 1. Commercial Apprentice, 2.Traffic Apprentice, 3.ECRC, 4.Goods Guard, 5.Jr. Accounts Assistant cum Typist, 6.Sr. Clerk cum Typist, 7.Assistant Station Master, 8.Traffic Assistant under Centralised Employment Notice   No.: 03/2012 . Preliminary Examination (i.e. stage I) will be held on 02.12.2012/ 09.12.2012 by all participating RRBs.

RRB Common Preliminary (stage 1) Exam Pattern & Syllabus 2012

The Questions in RRB Common Preliminary (stage 1) written Exam 2012 will be of objective type with multiple answers and likely to include questions pertaining to

RRB CWE Syllabus 2012 (ASM/ CA/ TA/ Clerks/ Accountants)

1. General Awareness

2. Arithmetic

3. General Intelligence and reasoning

The question paper will be in English, Hindi, Urdu and regional languages and the duration of the examination will be 90 minutes with approximately 100 to 120 questions.

There shall be negative marking in written examinations and marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer @1/3 of the allotted marks for each question.

RRB Centralised Employment Selection Process:  

a) Common Preliminary Examination (i.e. stage I) for all the notified categories.

b) Main (Second stage) Exam for Cat No. 1&2 – followed by Verification of documents.

c) Main (Second stage) Exam for Cat No. 3&4 – followed by verification of documents.

d) Main (Second stage) Exam for Cat. No. 5&6, qualifying typing test followed by Verification of documents.

e) Main (Second stage) Exam for Cat No.7&8,   aptitude test followed by Verification of documents
