SSC CHSL Notification 2016– Combined Higher Secondary Level

Staff Selection Commission SSC will hold a Combined All India Open Examination SSC CHSL Tier -I on 07.01.2017, 05.02.2017 named SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Exam for recruitment to the Group – “C” posts of Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant, Data Entry Operator, Lower Division Clerks, Court Clerks. Only one application, either a paper application or online application is to be submitted by the candidates to the concerned Regional/Sub-Regional office of the Commission keeping in view the Centre of examination chosen by him/her. SSC CHSL Eligibility criteria

Age Limit: 18 to 27 years as on 01.01.2017 (Age Relaxation is applicable as per the rules)

Minimum qualification: 12th Standard Pass or equivalent

Selection Process: Computer based Written Examination (Tier-I), Descriptive Paper (Tier-II), Typing Test/ Skill Test (Tier-III)

Application Fee: Rs.100/- (For SC/ ST/ PH/ EXSM/ Women – No Fee)

SSC CHSL Written Exam Pattern & Syllabus:

SSC CHSL Tier -I Paper will consist of Objective Type- Multiple choice questions only.  There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

  1. General Intelligence (25 Questions – 50 Marks)
  2. English Language: Basic Knowledge (25 Questions – 50 Marks)
  3. Quantitative Aptitude: Basic Arithmetic Skill (25 Questions – 50 Marks)
  4. General Awareness: (25 Questions – 50 Marks)

Duration – 75 Minutes
